Prof. Lopo Vasconcelos, awarded by the Higher Institute of Science and Technology of Mozambique
Prof. Lopo Vasconcelos, our IAGETH Vice-President for Africa, has been invited by ISCTEM (Higher Institute of Science and Technology of Mozambique in Maputo to deliver a talk on Geoethics. The invitation was made by the coordinator of the Geological and Mining Engineering Sector Coordinator, Ing. Natalia Camba. The event was attended by more than 100 students from the courses of Geology and Mining Engineering, as well as some members of the teaching staff. After the talk, there was a great participation form the students’ side, having raised interesting questions on Geoethics concerning the Mozambican context! At the end the speaker was awarded a plaque as recognition for “contribution for the growth of ISCTEM”. The pictures give an idea of the development of the event.
